Makabata Foundation
Makabata Foundation, which is composed of the EDSA
Shrine, the Poveda Learning Center, the
Teresiana Association , and the Poveda Alumnae. The
Foundation is a non- stock, non-profit corporation composed of
civic-minded individuals and
volunteers with a common mission to provide
a holistic and integral
program of education for street children and their families.
The Makabata Foundation Inc.
was organized, to give sustained educational assistance for the street
children.
Aside from formal education,
the Foundation will also provide out-of-school
youth and their parent’s vocational classes to give them skills for
livelihood and thereby reduce their poverty.
